Waterparks – Entertainment
Waterparks are a band I admire massively, taking the genre of pop-punk and turning it on its head into something more special, expansive, and most importantly, fun! Their first album was something truly special and unique, but I’m expecting even more from this album.
Release date: 26th January 2018
Brian Fallon – Sleepwalkers
I’ve only just discovered Brian Fallon and The Gaslight Anthem, but I quickly fell in love. Fallon has an amazing talent for weaving beautiful stories into his lyrics, and judging by the first two singles for this album, it will be no different.
Release date: 9th February 2018
Charlie Puth – Voicenotes
This album shows so much promise. For a long time, I viewed Puth as just another pop artist- nothing special, but he’s changed my mind massively with his last few singles. Each has been outstanding musically, with amazing production, and the cleanest vocals I have heard in a long time. I have such high hopes for his future.
Release date: March-ish
The 1975 – Music For Cars
The 1975 are another band I’ve only just got into them, but I’m a huge fan, particularly of their later material. Lead singer Matty Healy has been talking the album up a lot, saying that it needs to be one of the best pop releases of the decade. Will it be? Only time will tell, but I’m hopeful.
Release date: July-ish?
Jack White – Boarding House Reach?
Jack White is one of the most enigmatic names in all of music, and the buildup to this album is no different to what I’d expect from him. No one knows what this album will be, or how it will sound, but it’s most likely coming out this year, and could be called Boarding House Reach. Whatever happens, I can’t wait for it.
Release date: Who knows?
